Position Overview:


We are in search of a Senior - Transmission Planning Engineer with in-depth expertise in the ERCOT system to lead a team of Engineering Managers and technical specialists in delivering innovative and valuable services to utilities and ISO/RTOs.

This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional execution, technical oversight, client relations, staff development, and supporting business growth in Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Management and Operations:


With an advanced understanding of the ERCOT system, you will assist transmission engineering managers and team members in planning, studies, modeling, and automation.

Ensure the team's timely delivery of a portfolio of projects while adhering to quality and budget standards.

Provide mentorship, knowledge, and expertise to electrical engineers conducting power system steady state, short circuit, dynamic stability, and electromagnetic transient analyses.

Develop team resource allocation and revenue forecasting to keep the team aligned with billable hour and revenue goals, ensuring effective hiring and resource management.

Promote process enhancement initiatives to boost efficiency.
Maintain EPE's high standards of client satisfaction.

For Associate Directors:
Responsible for achieving revenue objectives

Business Development Support:
Assist in responding to RFPs and developing Scopes of Work.
Engage in industry activities through conferences, speaking engagements, and networking.
Build and nurture key client relationships.

Travel Requirements:
Approximately 10% travel may be necessary.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years of experience in power systems engineering roles.
Experience in the ERCOT Market.
Familiarity with PSS/E, TARA, Aspen, and other transmission analysis tools.
