Job Description

At Oracle, we're revolutionizing the way healthcare and technology intersect. As a Principal Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in building and automating scalable components that manage data flow, features, and services in real-time and batch.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant software systems using modern Infrastructure as Service (IaaS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
  • Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from development to testing, CI, and production operations.
  • Balance product feature development with production operational concerns, including writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, and instrumentation for metrics and events.
  • Leverage internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and fix software.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and resolve issues when they arise.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience working on distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Java, C#, C/C++, and/or Python.
  • Experience building highly available services, knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns, and service-to-service communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure components, such as service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking, etc.
  • Production experience with Cloud and ML technologies (preferable).
