About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bus Tire Technician to join our team at Goodyear. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the tires on our customer's buses are safe and in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair customer tires according to industry standards
  • Perform dynamic balancing for all bus tires, wheel changes, regrooving, repairing, and maintaining correct air pressures
  • Inspect tires on customer vehicles and report any defects in writing
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Work on-site at customer locations while maintaining customer relations and a clean and safe work environment

Requirements
  • High School or GED preferred
  • Previous commercial tire experience
  • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
  • Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
  • Mechanical aptitude as well as strong oral and written communication ability
  • A self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions
