CFS Specialist

DePaul Community Resources is seeking a dedicated and compassionate CFS Specialist to join our team in Roanoke. As a key member of our community services department, you will play a vital role in providing case management services and supporting the well-being of children and families.

About the Role:

• Provide responsible and professional community social work services to children and families in accordance with established principles and guidelines.
• Support and assist clients and families with personal, family, and social growth, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
• Maintain accurate and timely case record entries into electronic software databases.
• Collaborate with foster families, kinship caregivers, and independent living specialists to ensure continuity of care and support.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency support services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Minimum Standards, program policies, and child abuse reporting requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field (psychology, sociology, special education, or counseling).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in casework services to children and families.
• Strong knowledge of attachment theory, trauma, and child development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
