Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. As a key member of our Operations Support and Application Security team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for enterprise-level application systems, with a primary focus on Workday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for enterprise-level application systems, including Workday, to technical and functional users.
  • Maintain high availability of business applications and services by facilitating the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution process for high-profile and complex issues.
  • Engage vendors as required and ensure all communications are appropriate for the target audience.
  • Monitor and triage integration-related issues between our service line applications and 3rd party applications.
  • Support Application Security configurations and act as a gatekeeper for sensitive data.
  • Respond to general questions about our service lines and trouble tickets in a timely manner.
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify potential solutions for how to resolve an issue.
  • Prioritize multiple, open issues.
  • Follow best practices for change control of proposed solutions.
  • Document issue triage as troubleshooting progresses and resolution.
  • Maintain service reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in the information technology field, or Associate's degree and six years of experience, or a combination of education and experience equal to eight years.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with ITSM practices and software systems to support those practices.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems, such as Workday, Ellucian Banner, or Colleague.
  • Experience with accessing and developing against enterprise database systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Application development experience using Python, Java, Ruby,.Net, or other modern programming languages.
  • Experience managing application security and knowledge of information security best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize workload and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Workday HCM/FIN and Workday Student.
  • Experience supporting document management platforms, such as Laserfiche or Xtender.
  • Experience using iPaaS solutions, such as Boomi, Informatica, or Mulesoft.
  • Knowledge of identity management and accounts management practices.
  • Experience with TeamDynamix or other enterprise-grade service management products.
  • Experience working within a higher education IT environment.
