Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Audit Program Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with various departments, particularly within Payment Services and Wealth Management, to design and implement a risk-based Annual Audit Plan that aligns with the bank's strategic objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate auditable entities, assess associated risks, and establish suitable audit cycles and strategies while estimating resources and costs for a forward-looking audit plan spanning 12-18 months.
  • Maintain a robust Continuous Monitoring Program to track key risks across diverse entities and geographies, ensuring timely identification of emerging risks through engagement with peer institutions on regulatory developments.
  • Adjust the Audit Plan as necessary and communicate significant findings from Continuous Monitoring to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supervise audit engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet legal entity and geographical requirements.
  • Review audit reports and memos, ensuring clarity and timeliness in communication of findings.
  • Oversee reporting to boards and committees, ensuring accuracy and consistency with internal audit materials.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory agencies, and external auditors, through regular interactions and participation in industry groups.
  • Coordinate audit activities across various internal audit teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of business processes and risks.
  • Drive initiatives in automation and data analytics to enhance audit efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Audit Director.

The successful Lead Audit Program Manager will demonstrate:

  • Strong business acumen with expertise in international operations, particularly in Canada and Europe, and a deep understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • A results-oriented mindset, capable of challenging the status quo and driving innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in internal auditing or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in international auditing with a thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or CISA.

Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance for three or more days per week, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
