About the Role

As an Oncology Clinical Research Nurse in our Solid Division, you'll play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing clinical operations of clinical trials, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protocol Management: Assist the principal investigator in preparing proposed clinical trials, reviewing trial protocols, and ensuring timely submission of protocol revisions, informed consents, and continuing reviews to the IRB of record.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Act as liaison between principal investigators and sub-investigators on all regulatory issues and changes within the protocol, interacting with regulatory specialists and principal investigators to ensure compliance.
  • Patient Recruitment and Education: Recruit and evaluate potential study patients, work with clinical research coordinators to schedule appointments and interviews, and educate patients on clinical trials, treatments, and side effects.
  • Medical Record Management: Review medical records for potential study patients, ensure documentation of laboratory test results and procedures, and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records on each patient participating in a clinical trial protocol.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate research activities, notify principal investigators of adverse events and serious adverse events, and report all serious adverse events to the sponsor and IRB of record according to established timelines.
