Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a travel position. This opportunity is ideal for a professional looking to expand their career and gain experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to work in our PICU department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, with experience in PICU or NICU settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the PICU department, including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their condition.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Current WA state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • 1 year of experience in PICU or NICU settings.
  • Strong background in respiratory care, including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and high-frequency oscillators.
  • Knowledge of EKGs and code response.
  • Experience in trauma, Level 1 trauma, ER, and teaching/community hospital settings.
  • Children's hospital experience preferred.
