Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Christian Community Homes and Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and development of our patients, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs to facilitate the development and rehabilitation of mentally, physically, or emotionally disabled persons.
  2. Test and evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities, analyzing medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals.
  3. Evaluate patients' progress and prepare reports detailing their progress.
  4. Select activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within the limits of their mental or physical capabilities.
  5. Recommend changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities.
  6. Lay out materials such as puzzles, scissors, and eating utensils for use in therapy.
  7. Plan and implement programs and social activities to help patients learn work or school skills and adjust to handicaps.
  8. Conduct training programs in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.
  9. Assist in keeping the department and gym area in order.
Requirements:
  1. Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
  2. Experience preferred.
  3. Current Occupational Therapist state license.

  4. Active listening.
  5. Critical thinking.
  6. Judgment and decision making.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the phone.
  2. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the phone.
  3. Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patient and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  4. Other: Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds of medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients.
