About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Penn Medicine. As a Nursing Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Practice
    • Deliver exceptional patient care through the application of the nursing process, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices and clinical expertise to optimize patient outcomes and improve quality of care.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide the highest level of care.
  • Communication
    • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
    • Use clear and concise language to convey complex information and ensure understanding.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to unlicensed personnel and team members as needed.
  • Documentation
    • Accurately and thoroughly document patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, to ensure continuity of care and inform future treatment decisions.
    • Utilize electronic health records and other documentation tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Professional Role Development
    • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies, including participation in continuing education programs and workshops.
    • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote best practices and improve patient care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of solutions to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Departmental Support
    • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment, including adherence to unit policies and procedures.
    • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of unit goals and objectives.
Credentials
  • Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
  • Current Pennsylvania RN License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing (Required)
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Certification in clinical specialty preferred.
