We are seeking an experienced Cardio Echo Technician to join our team at Sigma Healthcare in Salem, MA.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound exams, coordinating with medical staff, and maintaining accurate patient data.
Responsibilities:- Coordinates and prioritizes ordered exams.
- Collaborates and coordinates with medical staff, including physicians, APCs, medical fellows, and residents.
- Collects medical information and patient histories.
- Performs cardiac ultrasound exams in accordance with department protocols and procedures.
- Participates in the training of echocardiographic techniques and procedures.
- Cleans and disinfects transesophageal probes and other equipment.
- Performs quantitative measurements and calculations of acquired data and provides preliminary reports.
- Maintains logs of patient data and files reports.
- Orders and restocks supplies.
- An experienced Adult Cardiac Sonographer is needed to work in a busy Cardiac Department.
- This position is responsible for approximately 28 outpatients per week.
- The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient procedures.
TTE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echoes, Echo Contrast, Echo Bubble, TEE procedures. You are not required to start IVs.
Machinery Used:6 Philips Epiq Echo Machines. Syngo Dynamics PACS.
Reporting System:Cupid & EPIC.
Qualifications:RDCS Certification (or equivalent) is required.
