Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound exams, coordinating with medical staff, and maintaining accurate patient data.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and prioritizes ordered exams.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with medical staff, including physicians, APCs, medical fellows, and residents.
  • Collects medical information and patient histories.
  • Performs cardiac ultrasound exams in accordance with department protocols and procedures.
  • Participates in the training of echocardiographic techniques and procedures.
  • Cleans and disinfects transesophageal probes and other equipment.
  • Performs quantitative measurements and calculations of acquired data and provides preliminary reports.
  • Maintains logs of patient data and files reports.
  • Orders and restocks supplies.
Requirements:
  • An experienced Adult Cardiac Sonographer is needed to work in a busy Cardiac Department.
  • This position is responsible for approximately 28 outpatients per week.
  • The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient procedures.
Studies Performed:

TTE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echoes, Echo Contrast, Echo Bubble, TEE procedures. You are not required to start IVs.

Machinery Used:

6 Philips Epiq Echo Machines. Syngo Dynamics PACS.

Reporting System:

Cupid & EPIC.

Qualifications:

RDCS Certification (or equivalent) is required.
