Attorney Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join our team at GPAC, a renowned search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defending employers in labor and employment litigation, providing expert counsel and representation on matters such as discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, PAGA claims, and other related litigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Defend employers in labor and employment litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, conducting thorough discovery, and preparing for trial.
  • Collaborate with employer clients to provide expert counsel and representation on labor and employment matters.
  • Develop key case strategies and litigate with precision, maintaining regular and transparent communication with clients.
  • Work independently and assume significant responsibilities, while also being a team player.
Requirements:
  • 4-7+ years of experience in Labor & Employment litigation, preferably wage and hour or class action defense.
  • Experience drafting various legal documents, arguing motions, discovery and responses, taking/defending depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Possess excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Value a team environment while prepared to work independently and assume significant responsibilities.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • California bar license.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, with a desire for growth and responsibility.
  • First/Second chair trial experience is a plus.
