Job Title: Philanthropy Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Philanthropy Officer to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our philanthropy team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, driving the overall performance of a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, and collaborating with local philanthropy teams, physicians, senior leaders, and philanthropy leadership to identify, cultivate, steward, and solicit donors and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects
  • Drive the overall performance of a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects
  • Cultivate, steward, and solicit donors and prospects
  • Collaborate with local philanthropy teams, physicians, senior leaders, and philanthropy leadership
  • Develop and implement sophisticated, multi-year cultivation strategies
  • Prepare written communication on fundraising programs
Requirements:
  • 5 years recent relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-confident, diplomatic, collaborative, team player, strategic, good judgment, with utmost respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to represent Philanthropy to external audiences through the use of strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a highly complex and fast-moving environment
  • Proven track record of developing and advancing significant private philanthropic support
