We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at HCRC Chelsea. As a dispensing nurse, you will play a critical role in dispensing prescribed medications as part of a treatment team in partnership with physicians and nursing supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
- Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
- Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations.
- Provide daily assessments of patients.
- Assist nursing supervisors to orient new nursing staff.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of medication administration experience.
- Opioid addiction center experience highly preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Skills checklist required.
- Two supervisory reference forms required.
About the Facility:
HCRC Chelsea's medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program provides comprehensive substance use treatment. We serve individuals affected by opioid addiction, improving their lives and those of their families and loved ones. Our patients receive help from a care team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and counselors. The MAT program offers individualized care, which includes individual, group, and family counseling. Patients interested in services may call or walk in to set up an immediate screening.
