Evening Operations Manager

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking an experienced Evening Operations Manager to lead our retail operations during the evening hours. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for making decisions that impact store associates, merchandise quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage retail operations during the evening hours, ensuring a high level of service to customers and maintaining store appearance and security.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with associates and customers, promoting a positive and inclusive store culture.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including food safety and security standards.
- Lead and manage evening shift associates, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor and control company assets, including inventory and merchandise.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve financial objectives and drive sales growth.
- Stay up-to-date with company tools and systems, including MPP, financial reports, and business information systems.
- Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
- College degree or equivalent preferred.
- Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company-provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
- Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions.
- Lift up to 20 lbs. regularly, including overhead lifting and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Push/pull up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Meet established volume and fixed activity standards.
