Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Hematology/Oncology to join our team on a locum tenens basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with hematology and oncology conditions.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory results.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and treatment options.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Hematology/Oncology.
• Active licensure in Connecticut or ability to obtain licensure with assistance.
• Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting, preferably in a Hematology/Oncology department.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
