Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at RTG Investment LLC. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, earth-moving equipment, and related construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services, including inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Responsible to fix any heavy equipment that might break down.
- Inspect, adjust and repair gasoline and diesel tractors, and hydraulic systems.
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
- Must be able to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
- Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards.
- Install, replace, or adjusts filters, belts or similar objects to maintain equipment.
- Ability to diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues in the field using SIS and ET systems.
- Perform repairs on CAT earth-moving equipment and/or related equipment.
- Repairing broken fuel, oil and hydraulic lines.
- Replacing cutting edge of bulldozers.
- Repairing and replacing tracks, roller and idler rollers.
- Removing wire, tires or metal from track frame, final drives and undercarriage.
- Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs field service work for emergency breakdowns.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience as mechanic, working on earth moving equipment.
- 5 year experience in construction field.
