Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient visits, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient authorizations, diagnostic studies, and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists, medical histories, and surgical histories.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, responding to phone calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Back Office Supervisor and other clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Back Office Supervisor, including cleaning and stocking examination rooms, preparing medical supplies, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-5 years of experience as a Back Office Medical Assistant in an orthopaedic medical office preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer, scanner, and software programs, including Microsoft Outlook.
  • CPR certification required.
Working Conditions

This position requires sitting and walking, with occasional stooping, reaching, and bending. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds is required, with very rare lifting up to 100 pounds. Normal hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboards and other office equipment are necessary.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $16-$21 per hour, depending on experience.
