About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Monitor equipment and patient during scans, making adjustments as needed
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast media
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and collate processed images in sequence
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred
  • Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
  • A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
