Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design teams. This individual will assist the Electrical Section Manager in managing and guiding the Electrical Group. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading electrical design teams for several concurrent projects
  • Coordinating the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout a project's development and construction
  • Coordinating workload to complete documents on schedule
  • Tracking the financial aspects of projects, coordinating and adjusting the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within budget
  • Conducting schematic, design development and contract document working sessions with clients
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships, participate in marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
  • Conducting reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Acting as a mentor for junior staff members

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • P.E. required
  • 10 years experience in electrical design of complex buildings is required
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and energy monitoring systems
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
  • Familiarity with Revit preferred
