We are seeking a highly skilled Dietetic Technician to join our team at the Department of Developmental Services - Porterville Developmental Center. As a Dietetic Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting Clinical Dietitians in developing and implementing nutritional care plans for patients in our state hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of nutritional care plans for patients
- Monitor patients' tolerance and acceptance of diets
- Develop and present training programs for food service staff
- Perform other related work as needed
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with all levels of personnel within the organization. You will be exposed to various Clinical and Support services areas of the facility and must have the ability to use a personal computer. Ongoing interaction with facility personnel, stakeholders, vendors, etc. is required. Problem-solving skills and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
Requirements- Background Investigation clearance prior to hire

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
