Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Operations: Review and approve daily departmental operations, including personnel and project assignments.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Interview and recommend candidates for new hire positions.
  • Manufacturing Planning: Plan and coordinate month-to-month manufacturing operations, including material scheduling, purchases, and planned maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership to assigned staff, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet customer specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, including budget administration, employee safety, and labor relations activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience as a production leader.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Broad background in manufacturing technology, statistical process controls, and line operating experience; excellent people relations skills and communication skills.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and frequent carrying of up to 30 pounds.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals in a manufacturing and laboratory setting.
