Position Highlights

Shift:
Evenings, 2nd Shift

Position Summary:
Utilizing independent judgment, the Imaging Specialist performs a comprehensive range of imaging procedures. This role involves assisting physicians and delivering essential patient care throughout the imaging process. The specialist is expected to exercise professional judgment during procedures and foster teamwork in all aspects of patient service. Additionally, support for new employees and students in training is provided as necessary.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Execute patient procedures in alignment with health system policies, protocols, and standards.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in operating all relevant imaging equipment and computer systems.
3. Comply with established Safety and HIPAA standards within the healthcare environment.
4. Work autonomously while applying professional judgment.
5. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
2. ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
3. State of Connecticut Radiographer License/Eligible.

Preferred Skills:
1. Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems.
2. Experience with Google applications preferred.
3. CPR certification preferred.
4. AS/BS degree preferred.
5. Strong work ethic.
