We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in our Intermediate Care Unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures.
Certification Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver care in the Intermediate Care Unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
- Manage patients with cardiac and telemetry needs, particularly in step-down care.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience in cardiac/telemetry nursing and step-down level care.
- Preferred: Background in post-CABG or open valve replacement care.
Unit Specific Information:
- Procedures performed include CABG (post-operative care), Post PCI, post pacemaker management, and cardioversions.
- Patient population includes individuals recovering from CABG/open valve replacements, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation (AFIB), post-cardiac stents, respiratory distress, acute kidney injury (AKI), sepsis, stroke overflow, altered mental status (AMS), endocarditis, and alcohol withdrawal.
Schedule Information:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 LNAs, 1 UCN
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 LNAs
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 on weekends with shifts distributed over a 4-week schedule.
Additional Details:
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs without specific color requirements.
