About the Role

The VP Application Testing and Quality Engineering is a pivotal position at AIG, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the organization's data assets. This role involves leading a team of skilled testers and implementing robust testing strategies to maintain the highest standards of data quality across various business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Define testing goals and objectives in alignment with the data quality governance framework.
  • Create detailed test plans, including test scope, objectives, resource planning, and schedules.
  • Review and guide teams in designing test cases, scenarios, and automation scripts to validate data accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead the testing team in executing data quality tests according to defined plans and report any deviations or risks to leadership.
  • Ensure the team performs high-quality data validation, reconciliation, and data transformation testing.
  • Work with teams to document defects, inconsistencies, and anomalies in data sets.
  • Evaluate opportunities for test automation to enhance testing efficiency and implement and maintain automated testing scripts and frameworks.
  • Monitor automated test execution and analyze results for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and data stewards to understand data structures and relationships.
  • Work closely with business analysts to understand data requirements and use cases.
  • Coordinate testing efforts across cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Generate test summary, execution reports, and metrics to communicate testing results.
  • Provide actionable insights to stakeholders based on test findings.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance data quality processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in data quality testing and quality assurance roles.
  • Proficiency in data validation, SQL, ETL processes, and data transformation.
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data profiling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge in Snowflake, ETL tools, Python, and AWS is preferred.
  • DevOps Tools and process knowledge.
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics, IBM - Data Science/Analyst Professional, and/or SNOWPRO certifications are a plus.
