Addiction Recovery Mentor

Join Bay Mills Indian Community as an Addiction Recovery Mentor and help others in their journey to sobriety. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate, promoting long-term recovery and preventing relapse. With a strong understanding of the drug and alcohol treatment system, you will work with Behavioral Health clients to provide guidance and support in achieving their recovery goals.

1. Develop authentic relationships with clients to provide ongoing support and guidance in their recovery journey.
2. Assist clients in identifying their personal interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses, and help them develop a personalized recovery plan.
3. Provide recovery education to clients throughout all phases of their recovery journey.
4. Build relationships with community groups and agencies to provide resources and support to clients.
5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client records and participate in public awareness initiatives.
6. Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and maintain a professional demeanor in crisis situations.
7. Assist in coordinating social and cultural events to promote community engagement and support.
8. Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and achieve organizational goals.

This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of sobriety, and a valid driver's license. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Behavioral Health clients and a strong understanding of the drug and alcohol treatment system. A minimum of two years of sobriety and a valid driver's license are required. The salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
