Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all orders from physician/psychiatrist are carried out and any information about clients and their wellbeing is promptly and clearly communicated to physician/psychiatrist and in treatment team meetings.
  • Follow and implement the Nursing Care Plan.
  • Dispense medication as prescribed.
  • Count narcotics each day, log appropriately.
  • Perform primary first aid and determine need for physician notification.
  • Perform vital signs.
  • Perform weekly blood draws, where applicable.
  • Maintain NG tube when needed.
  • Complete waived test for glucose monitoring, UA, Drug screen, and pregnancy.
  • Ensure all medications needed by clients are ordered appropriately and available in the facility.
  • Manage clients' medical needs, including scheduling appointments, completing referral/prior authorizations for medical treatments and tests as indicated.

This is a part-time position working on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
