Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Assistant to join our team at The Peace Rose Montessori School. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility, as hours may vary based on the needs of the school.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will assist in creating a peaceful environment for children through various activities such as music, movement, crafts, reading stories, art, and games. They will also be responsible for interacting with children during playtime, planning afternoon activities, and communicating with parents and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with arrival and dismissal of children
• Support Lead Teacher with daily activities
• Care for children's needs, including using the bathroom
• Assist with classroom management
• Communicate with parents and staff

Requirements:

• NJ Substitute Certificate required
• 1-3 years experience working with preschoolers
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 or older

Salary: $20-$25 per hour (based on experience and education)
