Data Engineer Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
AHEAD USA is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems that support our clients' advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. This involves working closely with project teams to orchestrate pipelines using modern Data Engineering tools and architectures, as well as integrating existing transactional processing systems. A successful candidate will have hands-on technical expertise in cloud environments, Big Data technologies, and programming languages such as Python.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build robust and automated data pipelines to ingest and process structured and unstructured data from various source systems into analytical platforms.
  • Implement custom applications using cloud native tools such as Kinesis, Lambda, and others to address streaming use cases.
  • Maintain and engineer data structures including SQL and NoSQL databases, ELT processes for loading data lakes, and API's for returning data from these structures to enterprise applications.
  • Leverage the right tools for the right job to deliver testable, maintainable, and modern data solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with scrum team members to estimate and deliver work inside of a sprint, research data questions, identify root causes, and interact closely with business users and technical resources.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years of professional technical experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Data Architecture and Data Modelling.
  • 4+ years of experience building highly scalable data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake.
  • 4+ years of programming languages such as Python.
  • 2+ years of experience working in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Strong client-facing communication and facilitation skills.
