Exciting Tax Manager Opportunity

We are a leading Public accounting firm seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our tax planning, preparation, and compliance efforts across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
  • Leverage your expertise in QuickBooks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for tax credits and other incentives to optimize our tax strategy.
  • Provide strategic business planning advice to senior management, incorporating tax considerations.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure our compliance.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of tax strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA designation would be a strong asset.
  • Proven experience in public accounting, tax planning, and preparation.
  • Extensive experience preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
  • Solid knowledge of multi-state tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software.
  • A track record of successfully identifying and securing tax credits and other incentives.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in clear, understandable terms.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
