Job Summary:
Provides daily living assistance to residents under the supervision of licensed staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Treats all resident information and conditions as confidential.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of practice.

- Assists with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and toileting needs.

- Ensures residents have clean, dry linens and makes beds as required.
- Promotes proper nutrition by serving meals promptly and assisting with feeding when necessary.
- Performs resident treatments as assigned by the Team Leader within the nursing scope of practice.

- Accurately records resident information and reports any changes in condition to the Team Leader.

- Actively participates in resident care planning.
- Supports daily living activities according to each resident's care plan.
- Lifts and transfers residents according to their care plan and the Lift Free Program.
- Performs additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and transfer residents weighing up to 30 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn consistently during an eight-hour shift.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks.
- Must be listed on the state registry as a Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.
- Motivation and desire to work with elderly individuals.
- Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with residents.

- Ability to read and write in English to fulfill care plan requirements and provide appropriate resident care.


Physical Requirements:


Must be able to remain on their feet throughout an 8-hour shift; bending, stooping, twisting, and turning regularly while performing duties.

Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds of resident weight and/or transferring and repositioning a resident at least 25 times during the shift.

Must respond quickly and decisively in emergencies and unexpected resident behaviors during lifting or repositioning.

Must manage the physical transfer of residents from unsafe to safer locations in emergencies.

Ability to perform sequential tasks effectively.
