Job Summary:

Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse's education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management, and/or referral of healthcare issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative healthcare actions and through patient advocacy. The advanced practice registered nurse may also manage complex illnesses and/or deliver specialty care.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse's education, experience, and certification.
  • Collaborates with a physician to diagnose, manage, and/or refer healthcare issues.
  • Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative healthcare actions and patient advocacy.
  • Manages complex illnesses and/or delivers specialty care.
Requirements:
  • One or more years of experience practicing as an APRN.
  • Family Medicine certification.
  • MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code.
  • Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nurse program.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire.
  • Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire.
  • Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
