Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a post-acute care setting. As a PTA, you will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care and implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Execute treatment plans for patients as recommended by the physical therapist.
  • Demonstrate competency in accordance with hospital policy, procedures, and practices.
  • Instruct patients in equipment use per physical therapist's recommendations.
  • Identify and implement patient/family education in consultation with the physical therapist.
  • Complete accurate records to ensure correct documentation.
  • Communicate patient status at care conferences.
  • Assist and collaborate with the medical director, physician, or consultants and other staff members of the rehabilitation team.
Qualifications
  • Licensed as PTA in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
