Millwright Trainee

West Fraser, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of wood products, seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. As a Millwright Trainee, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks, repairing complex systems, and ensuring the safe operation of heavy equipment.

**Job Overview:**

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with experience working with heavy equipment and machinery. You will be required to lift up to 50 pounds, navigate around tablets to perform documentation of maintenance activities, and work safely under high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain industrial equipment to include conveying systems, major machine centers, and edgers
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure timely maintenance
• Lift up to 50 pounds and navigate around obstacles
• Work safely under high-pressure situations
• Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field
• Cutting torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene)
• Welding experience (GMAW and SMAW)
• Previous Millwright experience
