Job Summary

The Cell Process Team at Q CELLS is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to maintain and develop manufacturing processes for solar cell products. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing process conditions and materials to improve the optical and electrical quality of solar cells.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot process performance to establish improvement plans.
  • Reduce the cost of cell material by minimizing consumption.
  • Optimize process conditions and materials to enhance solar cell efficiency and quality.
  • Train and evaluate the performance of assigned Technicians.

New Cell Product Integration

  • Evaluate process settings and stability of new cell production models.
  • Manage the testing and implementation of new solar cell models in mass production.

Cell Process/Material Development

  • Develop strategies to improve solar-cell efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Research and implement new process and material technologies.
  • Test and validate the reliability of proprietary processes and materials.

Cell Process Standardization

  • Develop and train standard operating procedures and out-of-control action plans.
  • Establish process standards and specifications for cell production.
  • Define related cell process standard documents.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering or research.
  • M.S. in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor, or related field with research experience in the field.
  • Strong understanding of production processes related to thin film deposition, laser optics, electrical contacts, thermal diffusion, and chemical etching.

Preferred Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor, or related field.
  • Experience in semiconductor, display manufacturing, or related industrial/research areas.
  • Experience with micro-structure analysis tools and optical/electrical characterization tools.
