Position Summary:

The Warehouse Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a pristine, secure, and well-organized logistics environment. This position is vital for maintaining cleanliness across all sections of the warehouse, including storage areas, loading zones, and communal spaces, to facilitate smooth operational workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning & Upkeep:
    • Regularly sweep, mop, and vacuum flooring.
    • Sanitize restrooms, break areas, and office spaces within the warehouse.
    • Dispose of waste correctly by emptying trash bins.
    • Dust and clean racks, machinery, and surfaces.
  • Safety Standards:
    • Ensure safe storage of all cleaning agents and comply with safety regulations.
    • Promptly report safety concerns, maintenance requirements, or equipment issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Equipment Handling:
    • Utilize cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers and vacuums effectively.
    • Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and in optimal working order.
  • Inventory Assistance:
    • Help organize storage spaces to uphold an orderly environment.
    • Support warehouse personnel during busy periods or special tasks as required.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Engage in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
    • Carry out other related tasks as directed by management.
  • Work Environment:
    • Primarily operates within a warehouse setting.
    • May encounter varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
    • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
  • Capability to operate cleaning machinery and tools.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
