Medical Professional for Part-time Nursing Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo, MI. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality services.
About the RoleThis part-time nursing position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. You will be responsible for providing professional nursing care within our medical center, working closely with patients to identify and address their unique needs and goals.
In this role, you will diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems, evaluate patient outcomes, and revise your plan of care as necessary. You will also assess and monitor complications associated with health situations or treatment plans and notify physicians of patient conditions and responses to interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care within our medical center, applying knowledge and skills to promote health, prevent illness, and alleviate suffering.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to identify mutual goals and develop individualized plans of care.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and revise plans of care as necessary.
- Assess and detect complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is also required, along with BLS Provider certification from the AHA and licensure as a Registered Nurse.
