Job Overview

This role is pivotal in orchestrating and enhancing maintenance and reliability initiatives at Teijin Carbon America's facility. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will oversee third-party maintenance contracts and play a crucial role within the leadership framework, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) regulations.
  • Act as the primary liaison for third-party maintenance service providers.
  • Oversee and manage external maintenance contractors as the Factory Maintenance Contractor Administrator.
  • Integrate knowledge from equipment suppliers into the maintenance protocols and systems.
  • Facilitate the transfer of technical expertise from other Teijin locations to strengthen maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize maintenance resources.
  • Maximize the benefits of warranty agreements.
  • Assist in budget formulation, ensure compliance with the operational budget, and report any discrepancies along with corrective measures.
  • Lead maintenance efforts during product transitions and scheduled shutdowns, working closely with production teams.
  • Monitor and communicate site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate with Central Utilities Plant (CUP) and Nitrogen supplier maintenance teams for seamless operations.
  • Oversee the execution of small capital projects in collaboration with Teijin corporate engineering and/or external engineering firms.
  • Manage the calibration of measuring instruments in partnership with external service providers and ensure alignment with quality assurance.
  • Fulfill all regulatory maintenance obligations for the facility.
  • Provide cross-functional support as a member of the leadership team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (5%-10%).
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Extensive maintenance leadership experience in a multi-shift manufacturing environment (10 years preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with third-party facility maintenance partners.
  • Preferred experience working within an international and culturally diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee budgets effectively.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
  • Proven track record in leading Reliability and Predictive Maintenance initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet project deadlines.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
