Solar Technician

Entergy is seeking a skilled Solar Technician to support our Driver and West Memphis Solar Site. This role requires daily site visits to perform inspections and maintenance of solar field equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and operating solar plant equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring site safety and efficiency.

• Perform routine inspections of solar field equipment, including inverters, transformers, modules, trackers, and weather stations.
• Maintain records and documentation of site activities, visitors, and maintenance work.
• Coordinate with component manufacturers for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
• Perform daily field sweeps to verify tracker systems are functioning properly and replace faulty components.
• Ensure site safety for all personnel and equipment.

• High school diploma.
• 0-2 years of experience in an operations or similar field or entry-level with a background in Process Technology or Instrumentation.
• Knowledge of elementary principles of mechanical measuring devices, instruments, controls, and regulating devices as used in steam electric plants.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs, lift and carry 50 lbs, climb scaffolds, stairs, and ladders.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated with basic computer knowledge.

• Power plant and/or maintenance experience.
• Equipment operation experience.
• PV systems or related experience.
