Job Title: Electrical Controls Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the start-up and commissioning of DDC systems, ensuring proper system operability and directing electrical subcontractors to ensure high-quality installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize commissioning of DDC projects by accepting projects from project management, analyzing commissioning workload timelines, and understanding project requirements.
  • Ensure proper system operability by assisting in onsite performance verification with the HBT engineer to verify the system is functioning as designed.
  • Direct electrical subcontractors by prioritizing areas of completion, answering questions to assure proper installation, and enforcing proper installation methods.
  • Maintain project documentation by updating wiring diagrams and sequence changes, maintaining current DDC program and displays, and collaborating with project managers and programmers to ensure accurate and prompt transmission of documentation from the field.
  • Complete commissioning of DDC projects by organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling start-up assignments, coordinating with programming for needed modifications and corrections, and organizing turnover to project managers for project close-out.
  • Communicate project information by updating project managers and construction coordinators on construction progress, updating project deadline information, and advising on any changes in schedule or change orders.
  • Achieve financial objectives by cooperating with ops management team in reviewing monthly job labor cost reports as needed and initiating corrective actions as directed.
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge by attending approved educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and reviewing dealer intranets.
  • Contribute to team effort by leading by example, initiating an open and positive attitude, preparing for and attending training meetings, and assisting in the training of new employees.
  • Willingsness and ability to travel by cooperating and understanding the importance of high-profile customers with locations in multiple regions and recognizing a sense of urgency with those needs.
