Medical Screener/Phlebotomist Specialist

About the Role:

As a Medical Screener/Phlebotomist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results. You will also be responsible for using our Donor Information System, preparing donor charts, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Screen donors for eligibility and take vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Use our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate donor compensation and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to center processes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Location: USA - AZ - Glendale

U.S. Starting Hourly Wage: $17.00

The starting hourly wage reflects the actual starting rate for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
