During the winter season, our snow removal team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' properties remain safe and accessible. Responsibilities include:
- Clearing snow and ice from pathways, driveways, parking areas, and other specified locations using shovels, snow blowers, and related equipment.
- Efficiently operating snow plows, salt spreaders, and other machinery while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintaining vigilance for potential hazards during snow removal operations.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of snow removal tasks, especially during severe weather conditions.
- Following safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate tasks and enhance workflow.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience in the industry
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Knowledge of installation techniques for pavers, plantings, walls, etc.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Capability to operate truck and trailer combinations
- DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain one
- Readiness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience operating heavy machinery
Foreman Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in landscaping and machinery operation
- Prior leadership experience
- Ability to interpret landscape plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure successful installation of garden beds, plantings, sod, artificial turf, fencing, drainage systems, pavers, retaining walls, and grading.
- Understand and execute assigned tasks effectively.
- Receive instructions and identify needs on job sites.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company standards.
- Engage with supervisors, project foremen, and clients to maintain clear communication throughout projects.
Foreman Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and participate in landscaping projects from inception to completion.
- Manage a team of 1-3 members, overseeing job site progress and material usage.
- Ensure reasonable production schedules are met.
