Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Analyst to lead our GIS initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Pro, databases, programming, and spatial analysis techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead GIS projects from conception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  2. Oversee the acquisition, organization, and maintenance of spatial datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  3. Conduct complex spatial analyses to support planning, resource management, and decision-making processes.
  4. Design and produce high-quality maps and visualizations for internal and public consumption.
  5. Manage GIS databases, including data storage, retrieval, and optimization.
  6. Develop custom GIS applications, tools, and scripts to automate workflows and enhance GIS capabilities.
  7. Provide technical support and training to GIS users across the organization.
  8. Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines for spatial data governance and compliance.
  9. Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in GIS and spatial analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in GIS analysis, database management, and application development, preferably in a local government or public sector environment.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Pro and other GIS software platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of spatial analysis techniques, including geoprocessing, spatial statistics, and network analysis.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and geodatabases.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in GIS, such as Python, JavaScript, or R.
