Key Responsibilities:

The Community Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing maintenance tasks that require technical skills, including plumbing, light carpentry, HVAC repairs, and appliance servicing. You will collaborate with your maintenance team to uphold the community's high-quality maintenance standards.

Your role will encompass:

  • Collaborating closely with a team of maintenance professionals while ensuring adherence to safe work practices.
  • Conducting various preventative maintenance tasks and documenting findings in a maintenance log.
  • Reviewing and assigning work orders promptly.
  • Performing regular inspections of the property.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and care of all community mechanical equipment, including HVAC units and landscaping tools.
  • Ensuring that your maintenance team meets company standards and that service requests are addressed efficiently and courteously.
  • Participating in the development of the annual community budget concerning maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
  • Operating within the approved budget and making informed decisions regarding fund allocation within the maintenance department.
  • Maintaining regular and professional communication with management and staff.
  • Addressing guest concerns with respect and professionalism.
  • Engaging in training programs as needed.
  • Assisting with community-sponsored activities and events.
  • Supporting management with special maintenance initiatives.
  • Providing on-call emergency services as necessary.
  • Representing the community in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical work experience in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Availability for on-call emergencies that may occur after hours.
