About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in our 36-bed medical trauma unit. In this role, you will provide patient-centered direct nursing care, including telemetry monitoring, to a diverse patient population.
About You: As a registered nurse in the medical trauma unit, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic care of patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions. This includes assessing acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, cardiac specialists, and patient care staff to administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility. Additionally, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education.
Your Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred) and a Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Current Multistate Compact License. Recent experience (within the past 1-2 years) as an RN in an acute care hospital setting is preferred, but we will consider candidates with recent acute care RN experience or those with great experience in Skilled Nursing Settings or LTAC.
