Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital RF Systems Engineer to join our team in Roanoke, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing hardware analysis and reverse engineering of DoD assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer hardware assets provided by the U.S. government
  • Provide expertise on Digital RF systems, including embedded software wireless radios, digital wireless communications, digital signal processors, Wifi, cellular communications, satellite communications, and handheld wireless communications
  • Design and verify digital front ends (DFEs) used in modern RF-SOCs
  • Collaborate with teammates to produce cohesive results and create improved processes

Requirements:

  • 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Experience with algorithms and processing steps applied to digitized RF data found in telecom, satcom, and software defined radios (SDRs)
  • Experience with the design or verification of digital front ends (DFEs) used in modern RF-SOCs
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly

Preferred Requirements:

  • Active security clearance
  • Experience with designing RF
  • Experience with Radio Resource Management functionalities, e.g., handover control, admission controls, capacity management, etc.
  • Experience with 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G and Wireless Broadband technologies
  • Experience with modifying hardware to perform non-intended tasks
  • Experience with Software Defined Radio systems
