Job Summary:The Veterinary Assistant represents the mission and values of Petco to all clients, setting the tone for technical and customer support in the hospital. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that day-to-day operations are efficient and provide an optimal experience for patients and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Greet clients and patients, obtain patient histories, and document electronic medical records
- Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision from the veterinarian credentialed veterinary technician
- Perform patient restraint, obtain and process laboratory samples, handle and dispense medications at the direction of the veterinarian
This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
