Position Overview:

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in delivering essential care to patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position involves assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, eating, and maintaining personal hygiene, as well as changing bed linens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect non-invasive body fluid samples and monitor vital signs.
  • Support physicians and nursing staff during medical procedures within the defined scope of practice.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care, including patient positioning, lifting, and turning.
  • Utilize specialized equipment and assist patients with bedpans, urinals, or commodes.
  • Facilitate patient mobility and assist with pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Measure and document blood pressure and temperature, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will have experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in an inpatient hospital setting or critical care is also advantageous.
