Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Medical Services:
- Deliver prompt medical assistance in response to incidents, injuries, or health emergencies occurring on-site.
- Evaluate and stabilize affected personnel, provide necessary medical interventions, and coordinate transport to healthcare facilities when required.
- Keep detailed records of all medical evaluations, treatments, and interventions performed.
- Injury Prevention and Safety Measures:
- Conduct routine safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Work alongside the project team to implement proactive safety measures.
- Provide continuous training and education to staff on first aid, CPR, workplace safety, and injury prevention strategies.
- Health Monitoring and Assessment:
- Oversee the workplace wellness initiative, including health screenings, assessments, and preventive care for all onsite personnel.
- Track and address employee health issues, including workplace injuries and exposure to hazardous conditions.
- Administer the onsite substance abuse program.
- Management of Medical Supplies:
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of medical equipment, supplies, and medications necessary for emergency care.
- Perform regular inventory checks, maintain stock levels, and organize medical supplies efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the onsite medical facility.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and current records of all medical incidents, treatments, and follow-up care provided.
- Prepare necessary reports, injury logs, and documentation for compliance and internal review.
- Communicate effectively with management, project teams, and external stakeholders.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Collaborate with the client project team to support objectives and initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Current State or National Certification as an EMT or Paramedic is mandatory.
- Active BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a pre-hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- OSHA 30 Construction certification must be obtained within the first month of employment (provided by employer).
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards, is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in unpredictable environments.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; ability to lift and move over 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working at heights and in a construction environment.
- This role is considered critical within the organization and may require overtime or callback as necessary.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Access to protected health information (PHI) will be limited to what is necessary for job functions. Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis for work-related purposes.
