As a Correctional Officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities and the public. This position requires a high level of integrity, physical fitness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Enforce institutional policies, rules, and regulations to maintain order and discipline within the facility.
- Supervise and monitor offenders during work assignments, meals, and recreation periods.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to prevent disturbances and escapes.
- Respond to emergencies and take offenders into custody as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records.
